WordPress or Plugin Update Fails​

There are times when the WordPress core, a plugin or a theme update fails.

Assuming you resolved the main issue, you might still be plagued by the constant reminder that “An automated WordPress update has failed to complete” error notification.

Remove WordPress Error Notice
To resolve this error, and remove the notice, we simply need to remove the .maintenance file that has been left over on your server. To remove this file we would follow the same procedure for removing a WordPress website stuck in Maintenance mode.
